Environmental Policy & Practices -
Response by Brayton International, A Steelcase Company

Land Use Guidelines

  • Timeless architecture with quality materials and structural integrity spreads the environmental impact of Brayton's new facility over a longer period of time.
  • The design of the building allows for multi-use of materials and components.
  • The building was constructed near existing roadways, water, sewer and utility lies minimizing the environmental impact and allowing underdeveloped land to be preserved.
  • To minimize soil erosion, a silt fence was created during the construction process. Soil was reused on the site.
  • The building uses less than 50% of the 24-acre tract to protect a local watershed.
